Divided into five parts, it focuses on the pioneers of flight, the aircraft fighters, the bomber and reconnaissance aircraft, and the flying boats and floatplanes. Each aircraft is illustrated thanks to the work of artists such as: Henry Farré, Charles H. Hubbell, Clyde Risley, Hozard Chandler Christy, Jack Leynwood, and Joseph A.
