Divided into five parts, it focuses on the pioneers of flight, the aircraft fighters, the bomber and reconnaissance aircraft, and the flying boats and floatplanes. Each aircraft is illustrated thanks to the work of artists such as: Henry Farré, Charles H. Hubbell, Clyde Risley, Hozard Chandler Christy, Jack Leynwood, and Joseph A. Phelan who either witnessed the action of such aircraft themselves or used the eyes of a participant to put down on canvas all the essence, colour, and danger of events. Item #5135
