A compilation of satirical verse by Australian author C. J. Dennis written in the style of children's nonsense poetry. Through these poems, which describe events in the fictional kingdom of Gosh, Dennis takes aim at his era's free trade, social conformity and bureaucracy. Accompanying Dennis's verses are detailed illustrations by Dennis's long-time collaborator Hal Gye. Item #5126
