Prolific Australian author and aviation writer Stewart Wilson created his epic series of 13 aircraft books between 1988 and 1994. In this volume, Wilson covers the Vampire, Macchi and Iroquois. The de Havilland Vampire was the first jet fighter to enter Royal Australian Air Force squadron service and become one of the most successful first-generation jets. The Machi MB-326, with its Viper engines, was a central element of the RAAF's training system until the arrival of the Pilatus PC-9. The Bell Iroquois (or "Huey") is one of the most recognised helicopters ever made, and was used extensively in the Vietnam War. Item #5076
