Prolific Australian author and aviation writer Stewart Wilson created his epic series of 13 aircraft books between 1988 and 1994. In this volume, Wilson examines the Lincoln, Canberra and F-111. At the time it was introduced, the Avro Lincoln was the largest aircraft manufactured in Australia and provided the Royal Australian Air Force with 14 years of service during war and in peacetime. The English Electric Canberra, a classic of the post-war era, replaced the Lincoln and served during the Vietnam War. The General Dynamics F-111 was next in line, and, despite facing early technical problems, emerged to be the finest low level strike aircraft of its time. Item #5075
