Prolific Australian author and aviation writer Stewart Wilson created his epic series of 13 aircraft books between 1988 and 1994. In this volume, he covers the Royal Australian Air Forces' use of Anson, Hudson and Sunderland aircraft. The Avro Anson was considered an advanced aeroplane even in the 1930s and was introduced into the RAAF in 1936. The versatile Lockheed Hudson provided the service's main offence in the very early days of the war against Japan, and the Sunderland flying boat played a major part in the RAAF's achievements during World War Two.
