Prolific Australian author and aviation writer Stewart Wilson created his epic series of 13 aircraft books between 1988 and 1994. In this volume, Wilson examines the development and operational careers of three aircraft which were manufactured in Australia, two of them local designs. The Wirraway was a licence-built version of a North American advanced trainer craft and is considered to form the basis of the Australian aircraft industry. The CAC Boomerang was developed in a matter of months after Japan entered World War Two and gained great kudos in New Guinea. The CA-15, after much trial and error, became one of the world's fastest and most advanced piston engine fighter. Item #5070
