Prolific Australian author and aviation writer Stewart Wilson created his epic series of 13 aircraft books between 1988 and 1994. In this volume, Wilson traces the Royal Australian Air Force activities of the Meteor, Sabre and Mirage, three jet fighter that bore the brunt of the RAAF's fighter/bomber activities from the 1950s to the 1980s. The Gloster Meteor saw its first active service in the Korean conflict. The North-American F-86 Sabre also served in Korea, and in 1963 the Mach 2 Dassault Mirage delta-winged fighter ushered the RAAF into the supersonic age of flight. Item #5068
