Quarto, original mid-blue cloth, spine embossed with gilt lettering, front cover blind embossed with eagle motif, 206 pp. Cloth rubbed, some spotting on both endpapers, otherwise a very good copy in a thumbed dust-jacket. In 1922, T. Lawrence enlisted in the ranks of the Royal Air Force under the name of John Hume Ross. 'The Mint' is a private notebook of his thoughts and reflections at the time, and was never intended for publication. This is the first British trade edition of the book. O'Brien A173. Item #4996
