Some issues have colour plates and/or tonal photogravure plates, some have fold-out leaves. Issue 40 has an index covering the series. A handful of leaves across the series have had some images cut from them, some back covers show very light foxing, Part 2 lacks the cover; overall a very good set with crisp and clean leaves, vibrant ful-colour covers and colour images. While originally mooted to be 45 issues, the editor, Clarence Winchester concluded the series in December of 1938 with Issue 40.
