Milan: Automobilia, 1997-2006. Nineteen volume set. Quarto, charcoal-grey hardcover, spine and cover embossed with red lettering, illustrated endpapers. Volumes range from 126 pp. to 142 pp., total of 2,560 pp. with additional leaves of advertising (unpaginated). The set is illustrated throughout with colour and black-and-white photographs, tables, charts, diagrams and illustrations. Four volumes have an additional insert of material at the back ranging from colour photographs of Ferraris to pamphlets. One volume has additional illustrations at back (unpaginated). All but five volumes have a belly band in addition to a dust-jacket. The greater majority of the volumes are in near-fine or fine condition with near-fine dust-jackets. A small number of volumes have very good dust-jackets. Overall, a near-fine set. All volumes are numbered first editions from a run of 5000 copies each.
This beautifully illustrated second, or 'new', series in the Ferrari books is comprised of 19 volumes released between 1997 and 2006 with two volumes per year, plus one additional 20th anniversary edition released in 2004. The editors have captured everything any contemporary Ferrari owner or fan would want to know about this famous car company and the vehicles they produce. Written in Italian but including English and French translations, each volume features a variety of articles on specific Ferrari models and designers, as well as Ferrari history. Included in the majority of volumes are fold-out illustrations and diagrams. Four volumes include extra material housed in custom-made pockets at the back of the volumes.
Also included in this set is a speical 20th anniversary volume with an celebratory gold dust-jacket.
