Quarto, original mid-blue cloth, spine embossed with gilt lettering, front cover blind embossed with eagle motif, 206 pp. Spine ends and corners lightly bumped, very light rubbing on tail end of spine and tail edges of covers, small bump one-third of the way down on fore-edges of covers, very light foxing on edges of text block, light foxing on endpapers, small black-and-white "Fuller's Bookshop" sticker on lower-inside edge of front cover, some light browning on edges and spine of dust-jacket; otherwise a very good copy with a very good dust-jacket. In 1922, T. Lawrence enlisted in the ranks of the Royal Air Force under the name of John Hume Ross.
