California, USA: The Otterden Press, 1988. Tall octavo, burgundy cloth, spine embossed with gilt lettering, 144 pp., colour tipped-in frontispiece, four double-sided colour plates, illustrated with numerous black-and-white photographs of artworks of Lawrence throughout including paintings, sketches and sculptures. This illuminating collections of portraits of T. E. Lawrence offers a unique visual biography of the man. It features two comprehensive overviews of the multitude of Lawrence portraits created by Augustus John and Eric Henri Kennington, as well as portraits by a selection of other artists including J. Cosmo Clark, Colin Gill, Sir William Orpen, Kathleen (Lady Kennet) Scott and Henry S. Tuke.
