Sincere friends I'll never forget, ever. Charlie Dec - 1943' Scarce copy. This publication serves as memento for the officers and men of the Fifth Bomber Command unit based in the South-West Pacific. The Fifth Bomber Command was a United States Army Air Forces unit which was disbanded in 1948. The unit took part in the defence of the Philippines in 1941 before being moved to Java to help delay the Japanese advance in what was then called the Netherlands Indies. In 1942, assumed control of AAF bombardment groups in Australia and New Guinea. This album includes the unit's activities though places and names are not mentioned. Dornbush. Item #4844
