This rare piece of Lawrence-related ephemera is a free solicitation flyer that was sent out in 1935 as an appeal to raise funds for the St Paul's Cathedral memorial to T. E. Lawrence (successfully installed in 1936). The committee, listed at the end of the text, was comprised of F. M. Allenby, Herbert Baker, Winston Churchill, Lionel Curtis, Augustus John, G. Bernard Shaw and Evelyn Wrench – men famous in their own right and all friends, colleagues and admirers of Lawrence.
