Octavo, yellow-ochre cloth, spine embossed with gilt lettering, x, 320 pp. (uncommon pagination), frontispiece, illustrated with 31 full-page sepia plates throughout, one fold-out map included. Spine ends bumped and rubbed, gilt lettering faded, a bump on the centre of the spine has torn the binding, corners of covers bumped, some small spots on front cover, water marks on top edge of front cover and fore-edge of back cover, foxing on edges of text block, split in binding where front free endpaper meets the spine but holding, foxing on last few pages, pages lightly browned as common to publications of the era; otherwise a good copy. First English edition. An account of Glen Douglas's journey in the footsteps of T.E. Lawrence. In this volume, Douglas recounts his experiences travelling throughout the Middle East to visit many of the significant locations of Lawrence's time in Arabia.
