A biography of James E. Webb, head of NASA during the era of Apollo, developed from a 1987 essay written by Lambright titled Leadership and Innovation: A Biographical Perspective on Entrepreneurs and Government.
Lambright examines the background and making of the man who went on to manage Project Apollo effectively and with innovation. He also considers the importance of matching the right Public Manager/Administrator to an organisation and to the times, of which Webb was a strong example. Item #4821
