Inspired by a newspaper article on the subject, Allan Schafer, then a member of Grafton's Clarence River Historical Society, draws articles and interviews together to recount a little-known event that occurred in Grafton during World War Two. Compiled at the time of the event's 50th anniversary, Schafer, with the assistance of Frank Mack, tells the fascinating story of five B 52 Bombers who became lost over Grafton one night in 1942.
