A pictorial history of the first forty years of Handley Page, the first company to be established in the United Kingdom for the exclusive design and manufacture of aeroplanes. This loving tribute covers Handley Page's contributions to both civil and military aviation. The company was founded in 1909 by Frederick Handley Page at a time when there were very little aviation facilities available. It went on to produce essential aircraft used in the Third Afghan War and both World Wars, as well as aircraft for domestic use in the interwar period.
Inserted loosely in the volume is a Marshall Airways ticket intended for use at Mascot Aerodrome. Marshall Airways operated from N.S.W. between the 1930s and 1960s. Item #4707
