Spine ends rubbed, lower edges of covers rubbed, pale water mark on fore-edge of last few leaves without loss of text, leaves 77 adv to 80 adv (advertising) have come away from the binding and are worn on the lower edges, dust-jacket is worn at top and tail edges and foxed on the inside; otherwise a very good copy. 1970 reprint. A comprehensive history of the world's aeronautical progress and civil aviation, including a descriptive list of the world's aeroplanes, current at the end of 1946. As described by Leonard Bridgman in the preface, this volume is "essentially a war [World War Two] edition" of the Jane's series. It contains extensive documentation of the aircraft used by the combatant forces right up to the end of the war and includes once-classified information on German aircraft.
