An account of the experiences of ex-Royal Australian Air Force member Gordon Wallace, who served in the RAAF as a Despatch Rider and Flight Mechanic. Wallace, the author of Up in Darwin with the Dutch, describes everyday life at his various postings during the difficult days of World War Two. These postings include Shepparton, Temora, Canberra, Pine Creek, Batchelor, Tocumwal and Mildura. Wallance also covers the Japanese Air Raid of the city of Darwin, where he served from 1942 to 1946.
