Flying Bristol Beaufighters, Royal Australian Air Force 455 Squadron (known as "The Viking Boys") was the only Australian strike squadron in the Royal Air Force's Coastal Command during World War Two. They attacked German shipping off Holland and Denmark, and in Norwegian fjords. This history describes the men who flew and the groundcrews who gave them unstinting support, and includes lists of personnel, aircraft on strength and operations.

Loosely inserted in this volume is an obituary of Wing Commander Jack Davenport, a member of the Squadron, from The Sydney Morning Herald dated 8.1.1996. Item #4571
