Spine ends bumped, front top corner of cover bumped, three roses have been pressed in between leaves 204 and 205 leaving some marking without loss of text; otherwise a very good copy. First edition, signed by the author. An account of the Royal Australian Air Force's requirements and subsequent orders for the Lockheed Hudson aircraft in 1938 as well as the operations led by the RAAF with such aircraft in Malaya, Sumatra, Java and the Mediterranean. The five appendices at the end of this account provide information on the number of casualties, camouflage and markings as well as the fate of the personnel of Nos. 1 and 8 Squadrons captured by the Japanese.
Loosely inserted in this volume is a cutting from Vetaffairs, March 2001 on the Lockhead Hudson Bomber arriving at the Australian War Memorial. Item #4533
