The first of three volumes on the subject written by Luftwaffe expert Ken Merrick, this series is the culmination of ten years of extensive research, including a three-year research trip to the UK and Europe to examine various government archives concerning wartime operations by the Luftwaffe, the Royal Air Force and the Royal Australian Air Force.
