This is an account of the experiences of the Royal Australian Air Force's No 461 Squadron, formed in Britain on Anzac Day, 1942. During the Second World War the Squadron spent three years piloting Sunderland flying-boats as they searched for Admiral Doenitz's U-Boats in the battle of the Atlantic, while at the same time being hunted by the Luftwaffe's Ju-88 fighters. Written by Norman Ashworth, who flew anti-submarine aircraft as well as Sunderlands during his time in the RAAF. Item #4452
