Lawrence's 1911 diary was written by him at the age of 22 during an exploratory journey to Syria which he undertook while studying history at Oxford. This edition includes an introduction by Dr Robin Bidwel; three letters to Mrs Lawrence written during the author's journey; and a collection of photographs from Lawrence's travels, with locations depicted being referred to in the diary.
