Tall octavo, tan hardcover with gilt embossed lettering on spine, 128 pp., 16 double-sided leaves of black-and-white photographs, several maps and three appendices included. Spine and bottom of covers slightly faded, lower spine end rubbed, foxing on leaves throughout, slight spotting on inside of front cover, spotting on inside of back cover, slight spotting on text block, some fading of dust-jacket spine and on front wrapper close to spine. Overall, a very good copy. First edition, inscribed by author: "Dear Ken, With my best wishes, David Innes 15 November '85".
