Published in 1930, this exciting catalogue offers radios, wireless parts and components, gramophones and related equipment to the Australian public. Located at 226 Pitt street, Levenson's Radio Company boasted 'we are the largest mail-order wireless goods distributors in the Commonwealth'.
Founded by Joe Levenson in 1927, Levenson's Radio Company were distributors for North American and British manufacturers including Brahm & Company of London, Perrine of Massachusetts, the L.M. Decker Company of Nebraska, Audiola Radio Company of Chicago, Mullard Valves and Ferranti radio products (amongst others). This catalogue includes a preface by Joe Levenson, boasting the discernment of his buyers in the United States, and ongoing care of his Australian clients.
The catalogue is rare, and we have been unable to locate any copies held in Australian institutional collections. The National Library in Canberra holds a related catalogue of circuits and components published by Joe Levenson and dated three years later (1933). Item #4296
