Series of consecutive product bulletins issued by the Goulds Manufacturing Company
Seneca Falls, New York: Goulds Manufacturing Company, 1919-1921. Quarto, series of 22 product bulletins in contemporary card binder, variously dated and paginated, illustrated throughout. A little wear affects the binder, internally excellent. An American pump manufacturers' catalogue from the postwar period, dated from 1919 to 1921 in respective parts. The manufacturer boasts 'an institution over 70 years old, starting in 1848 in a little stone shop in Seneca Falls, New York, Goulds Manufacturing Company has grown to a plant with over half a million square feet of floor space, all devoted to the manufacture of pumps.'
The catalogue is offered in the cardboard binder of an Australian sales representative (William Howatt of Sydney). It comprises a continuous series of 22 product bulletins, numbered 100 to 123 (please note the series lacks number 121 but is otherwise complete). Each of the bulletins treats a special purpose product, foe example, centrifugal fire pumps, air and vacuum pumps, sump pumps, and so forth. They are dated between 1919 and 1921, and are mixed editions. Presumably each of the bulletins was updated as product changes and modifications occurred. Item #4210
