Oblong quarto, original printed wrappers and cloth backstrip; separately paginated in sections alphabetically arranged from A to V (and numbering some hundreds of pages in total). Section of the cloth backstrip is missing, very good condition, internally fresh. Industrial trade catalogue of goods for fitting and turning work, offered by the firm of Alfred Herbert and manufactured in Coventry.
The catalogue is illustrated throughout, and includes all manner of lathes, and also drills, stud presses, mandrel presses, enamelling stoves, hack saws, collet chucks, planing machines, forges and furnaces. Naturally, a myriad fitting parts and accessories are included in the catalogue. The firm had showrooms in London (7 Leonard street Finsbury), and also in Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Item #4185
