Royal Air Force Cape Flight March 1st to June 21st 1926
London: D. Napier & Son, 1926. Octavo, original printed wrappers; 32 pp., eight double sided photo plates, detailed endpaper maps. Old ownership inscription to corner of the title page, a little foxing, a nice copy. Recounts the fourteen thousand mile flight from Cairo to Capetown, by four RAF Fairey aeroplanes, each fitted out with a 450 horsepower Napier Lion engine. The operation was entirely successful and within the anticipated time allocated, proving both the reliability of the RAF and the Fairey planes. Item #4169
