Captain Duncan Grinnell-Milne served as commanding officer of 56 Squadron, Royal Flying Corps. Credited with destroying six enemy aircraft, he was captured by the Germans and later escaped. Author of two classics of First War aviation, titled Wind in the Wires and An Escaper's Log respectively. Item #4159
