One Boy's War

London: Quartet Books, 1990. Octavo, red hard cover, dust jacket, 244 pp. A very fine copy. This is the autobiography of Anthony Rudd. Born in South Africa in 1924, Rudd grew up in England and joined the RAF in 1942 through the Oxford Air Squadron. He was posted to a Polish Squadron flying Mosquito fighter bombers where he was shot down by the Americans and captured by the Germans. This is a vivid and interesting first hand testimony of a World War Two veteran, a tale of comradeship and endurance. Item #3943
