The scarce memoir of Captain Laurence Minot, R.F.C., of Squadrons 16 (France) and 57 (Belgium), killed in aerial combat near Meulebeke, Flanders, July 28th, 1917. A compilation of material complied, including a biography, family photographs, squadron photographs, official letters, press notes, missing notices, sympathy letters from friends, epilogue, and twenty-three transcribed letters from Minot to his father, including the letter he wrote the day he died. This is a very personal and moving publication created by Minot's family, rich in primary source material, paying tribute to the life and service of a World War One pilot. Item #3888
