Tape-marked on dust jacket, rubbed on spine ends, foxing on endpapers, otherwise a very good copy. Harald Penrose's text is lively and fast-moving as he relates a six-decade saga of dramatic progress in the aviation industry, from WWI fighters to the commercial airlines of the 1980s. It is illustrated by more than 200 photographs and drawings of the great aircraft, airmen and aviation events of his time. Item #3782
