The book is based on and expanded from a series of lectures delivered at Trinity College, Cambridge, titled "Military Aeronautics applied to Modern Warfare." The author concludes that "…the impossibility of adequate defence against air attack is bound to result in the mutual destruction for war-making countries. Without hope of victory for either side."
