Beware of the Dog at War An operational diary of 49 Squadron spanning forty-nine years 1916-1965
Derbyshire: Privately printed, 1998. Quarto, illustrated printed wrappers, 558 pp., illustrated throughout with diagrams, black and white photographs. Wrappers worn, title leaf stamp marked, otherwise a good copy. Reprint. The squadron was established at Swingate Down, near Dover, Kent, England in April 1916. The squadron was deployed to France in 1917 and saw their first operation during the Battle of Cambrai. In 1938, the 49 Squadron became a bomber squadron of the Royal Air Force until 1965. Item #3688
