Miller, who was born in Crewsick, Victoria in 1893, flew for the Australian Flying Corps and saw service in France, later serving as test pilot at Point Cook. He later established MacRobertson Miller Aviation Company, a firm that was linked to Ansett-ANA and which supported the Flying Doctors and Royal Beef Scheme.
