Formerly from the educational library of the Royal Air Force at Altringham Station (here dated 1943), with attendant stamps and markings. A worn copy, cloth spine detached and some pages loose. Nonetheless, collated and complete. The deeds of each Victoria Cross recipient is described in some detail, and accompanied by a plate depicting their actions. The plates are reproduced from paintings by Dudley Tennant. Airmen included are Lieutenant W.B. Rhodes-Moorhouse, Lieutenant Alan McLeod, and Captain Albert Ball (amongst others). Item #357
