Some preliminary foxing, otherwise a very good copy in dust jacket. First edition. Scarce copy. A history of the R.A.F's 'Wooden Wonder' nicknamed as such due to its frame being mostly of wood. Originally conceived as an unarmed fast bomber, the de Havilland Mosquito's use evolved rapidly during Second World War ranging from fighter-bomber, pathfinder, and photo-reconnaissance aircraft but the Mosquito took on many roles.
