The Hindenburg
London: Granada Publishing Limited, 1973. Octavo, orange cloth, 278 pp., eight double-sided plates. Rear flap of the dust jacket tape-marked, otherwise a very good copy. On 6 May 1937, the Hindenburg exploded in mid-air, caught fire, and lay in glowing ruins on the airfield at Lakehurst, New Jersey. This book is a gripping minute-by-minute account of the final flight of the German airship that spelt the end of the airship era. Item #3218
