Quarto, dark blue cloth, 74 pp., frontispiece, 21 plates. previous owner's inscription on inner front board, frontispiece slightly torn with no loss of text, light spotting, leaves thumbed, otherwise a good copy. A squadron history based on the unit diary of operations on the Western Front in the final year of World War One, and written by L.A. Pattinson, the Squadron Commander. Equipped with the DH9, the 99 Squadron was a bombing squadron. They were tasked with long-distance raids both on enemy-occupied areas of Alsace-Lorraine in France and inside Germany itself.
