Wingspan A history of R.A.F. Debden
Saffron Walden: W. Hart & Son Ltd, 1956. Octavo, blue printed wrappers, 28 pp. A near-fine copy. An account of the Royal Air Force Debden, a station located in Essex. The airfield was opened in April 1937. During Second World War, it became a sector station from which operations were conducted during the Battle of Britain. Many different units were posted at Debden including: No. 11 Group RAF, No. 17 Squadron, No. 29 Squadron, and No. 601 Squadron and many others. Item #2840
