A rather nice copy with the original dust-jacket. A collection of twelve articles originally written for the Chicago Daily News, The Observer, and Airways. These articles discuss topics such as: air warfare, direction and administration of air forces, and air training and education as well as a variety of other subjects.

The author, Baron Thomson, served as Secretary of State for Air under the government of Ramsay MacDonald. He died on the airship R101 during her maiden flight to Karachi. This copy includes a selection of contemporary newspaper clippings on zeppelin crashes and related disasters. Item #2694
