Slightly rubbed at spine ends, boards a bit bumped at corners, otherwise a very good copy. The memoir of Lieutenant Pat O'Brien's experiences as a pilot in World War I. Shot down during a mission, he miraculously survived a spiraling crash landing and ended captured by the German forces. He was made a prisoner of war for a short time as he soon escaped by jumping out a train window. After his escape, he was determined to make his way across Europe in hope to get to safety in Holland.
