The 24 Squadron was established in September, 1915, and became one of the earliest night flying units in the Royal Flying Corps. They flew their DH2 fighters and scouts to France in February 1916; later flying in SE5 and DH5 aircraft. The squadron saw action on the Western front, in the Somme and Amiens, most notably, in the Battle of Messines, and the Battle of Cambrai. In early 1918, 24 Squadron was involved in ground-attacks but they returned to air combat operations later on. By the end of the Great War, they had destroyed over 200 enemy aircraft.

This volume includes victory logs, honours, decorations, and a list of officers and men from the 24 Squadron. Item #2576
