Boards stained, some spotting, a few leaves chipped along bottom edge with no loss of text, otherwise a good copy in dust jacket. The author's memoirs of his time as a RAF officer on the Western Front during World War One. In the outbreak of the war, L. A. Strange joined the No.5 Squadron. In 1915, he was transferred to No.6 Squadron and went on to form and command No.23 Squadron, but due to illness he did not accompany it to France. Upon his return to the Front, he first took command of the 23rd Wing, and commanded the 80th Wing from June 1918 until the end of the war. Item #2535
