Octavo, original yellow cloth with black lettering, 122 pp., with a frontispiece portrait of Sir Edward Ward and a double-sided folding map of bomb damage in London and elsewhere in England. Cloth a bit thumbed and spotted, internally quite fresh, overall a pleasing copy. An uncommon account of the London Special Constabulary, signed by the author on the front endpaper. The Special Constables were assigned with keeping public order during the zeppelin raids of the First War. Item #205
