70th Anniversary of the Royal Australian Air Force Art Exhibition featuring the Harry Hawker Collection

In 1988, Hawker de Havilland commissioned Norman Clifford to complete Australia's largest collection of paintings with a historical Service aviation theme. This collection of 20 works depict activities of operational and training units of the Australian Flying Corps during World War One. They were to be completed over a period of three years then go on permanent display at the RAAF Museum at Point Cook as the Harry Hawker Collection. Item #2040
