Letters from a Flying Officer.
London: Oxford University Press, 1928. Octavo, original grey cloth with paper spine label, x, 208 pp., frontispiece and occasional diagrams scattered throughout the text. A superior copy with the dust-jacket (this is a little chipped with small section that has been taped by the previous owner). The author enlisted in the British Army in 1914 and transferred to the Royal Flying Corps in the spring of 1917. After service with a training squadron he was posted to the 22 Squadron from Bristol. He then served in France and later commanded No. 88 Squadron of the 80th Wing (from September 1918 to the conclusion of the War). Item #204
