Sydney: Angus & Robertson, 1919. Large quarto, original decorated boards with blue cloth backstrip, decorated endpapers; xiv, 154 pp., and four pages of publisher's advertisements; with a portrait frontispiece of General Allenby, numerous maps and plates (some colour), large folding panoramic views of Richon de Zion and the Battle of Beersheba. Small spot affects the backstrip cloth, but an unusually fresh copy of a book usually encountered in worn condition. A soldier's gift book of the campaign, remarkable for its excellent suite of photo plates, plans and views of core Levantine and Palestinian battles of the First World War. Item #1978
